Neurodivergence Screening​

​A screening assessment to explore whether a young person would benefit from an assessment of Autism and/or ADHD. ​

​​Autism Assessment​​

• Evidence based diagnostic assessment tools are used which are compliant with the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines​​

• Questionnaires completed by parents, the young person and the young person's education setting. There is an increase in the number of young people being diagnosed with Autism and ADHD so these forms will also include screening for ADHD.

• In depth clinical interview with parents using The Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO)

• Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) completed with the young person

• Feedback session to discuss the outcome of the assessment

• Detailed report with recommendations

ADHD assessment ​​​

• Clinical interview with parents and young person. For young people under the age of 16 years, the ADHD Child Evaluation (ACE) is used and for young people over the age of 16 years the ACE+ is used.

• QbCheck (computerised assessment)

• School observation if indicated (for under 16's only) 

• Feedback session to discuss the outcome of the assessment

• Detailed report with recommendations
